States are slowly reopening during the shutdown. I feel some kind of way about that but I digress. That means saying goodbye to DIY mani-pedis, at home haircuts, and working from home. 🙁 As we prepare to return to the office, I’m posting more content on affordable work attire. I like to write blog posts that can be useful based on a specific time or circurmstance. No shade to more established bloggers, because y’all gotta make a living. I know some readers have limited budgets and only want to spend money on their needs. Since our favorite restaurants and hot spots are still closed, I wanted to help a sista out.

This post highlights my go-to work wear combo for spring and summer…the blazer and wrap dress. I LOVE blazers and have a collection but I’m buying more in many colors and patterns. Sidebar: There’ll be a blog post about. This combination is cute, comfortable, and easy to wear for the professional woman on the go.

The linen blazer was thrifted at $2.50. SCORE!! I find the best blazers at a thrift store. The blazer is a size 12 because I love oversized blazers. The floral wrap dress (size medium) is from Target and it’s so freaking cute!! Diane von Furstenberg was a genius! The wrap dress is flattering for every woman as it dress hugs your curves. Then the floral print and ruffles add a feminine touch. Who doesn’t like florals in spring?? This look is easily paired with heels, flats, or my favorite, sneakers. To show its versatility, the outfit is matched with nude heels and white converses. The dress alone is perfect for Sunday brunch (when it’s safe, of course!) or in an office without the A/C blasting.
