Mommy and Me Outfit Ideas: 4th of July

Ari is almost 4 months old and I’ve began coordinating several mommy and me outfits. You can see one of the looks I put together in this post. I’ve also came up with mommy and me looks when we went to a family birthday and met my best friend for brunch. You can see the reel for our weekend brunch outfits here. It’s never too early to begin mommy and me outfit ideas. I see this as a fun way to bond with Ari. With the 4th of July coming up, I thought this would be another fun way to create our similar looks. Dressing in red, white, and blue or stars and stripes, there are so many options. Our look of choice for the 4th of July is denim.

Mommy and Me Outfit Ideas: 4th of July

My Look – Shortalls – Wal-Mart, Similar, Similar; T-shirt – Etsy, Similar, Similar; Sneakers – Amazon, Amazon; Sunglasses – Amazon Ari’s Look – Romper – PatPat, Similar, Similar; Turban – Amazon

Denim is usually not my fabric of choice in the summertime. It gets very hot in the south. Once you add humidity into the mix, you can feel pretty sticky in denim. Believe it or not, Ari’s romper is very lightweight. I also love the addition of stars in the romper. Since it came from Wal-Mart, you know that it was affordable. Unfortunately, the romper is no longer available on Wal-Mart’s website. However, I was able to find a very much similar find with this romper for $13. She’s wearing a size 0-3 months. It’s slightly big on her but Ari is smaller for her age and I didn’t want to buy the newborn size.

I added some red to her look with a turban out of her set from Amazon. For my look, I opted for a denim shortalls. I purchased a romper but thought that was a typical item. Plus I’ve always wanted a pair. I also purchased them from Wal-Mart and the quality is really good. Wal-Mart has stepped up their fashion game!! I purchased a size large since it came from the juniors section. I also love the cuffed detail and the light wash of the denim shortalls. A red 4th of July themed t-shirt was paired to add more color to the look. My leopard print sneakers added more style to the look instead of the usual white sneakers. Then I finished my outfit with a pair of heart shaped sunglasses.

I hope this look gave you some inspiration and dressing you and your little one. I can’t wait to have more summer fun with Ari. We will be going on vacation next month and can’t show you all what I come up with. Let me know in the comments how you plan on celebrating the 4th of July.
